A brief insight into my past and present.

A brief insight into my past and present.

I grew up in New Delhi, India and finished high school at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram. I then moved to Dubai, United Arab Emirates to pursue my undergraduate education at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS Pilani). I received my Bachelor of Engineering degree in 2008, and then joined Gulf Business Machines(GBM) in the IBM enterprise servers and storage division.

In fall 2013, I joined Cornell University's Master of Engineering program at Ithaca, New York. I graduated with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with my final project being research on an Indoor Location System. I was a part of the Edwin Kan Group at Cornell and worked as a research assistant over the summer of 2014 in RFID design. My research interests include digital logic design, computer architecture and memory systems.

I currently work as a Firmware Engineer building consumer electronics devices at Amazon. In 2019, I was involved in the development of Fire TV Cube, Echo Loop and Fire HD10 tablet.

Previously I was a System Design Lead at Western Digital's office in Massachusetts. I was a part of the Product Management division in the Enterprise SSD group. My primary responsibilities included new product PCB design and prototyping, electrical and flash block characterization, hardware diagnostics development and test automation. I was also involved in failure analysis and manufacturing yield improvement. I developed their next generation of SAS SSDs. My previous projects include the Optimus MAX SSD (the industry's first 4TB SAS SSD - also rated one of the coolest products of 2014 by CRN magazine) and the CloudSpeed Gen. II SATA SSD (one of the first to market as a 2TB SATA SSD).
