Driving issues to root cause with external vendors and working on process improvements. A through understanding of the sub-systems that make up the device and how the interfaces interact, since most of the failures tend to occur at these interfaces.
Interacting with customers to understand failure modes, key skills here being communication, empathy and presentation. A proven track record of faster time-to-root-cause and driving innovative ideas to solve problems.
